finally, everyone starts small grouping (part two)

Hey, I suggest you read my first part about the small group in my previous blog. This one I wrote after a month and three weeks in quarantine. At this point, the new norm has already established to become normal. After this pandemic, there will be a major change in how we do small groups. what was once considered a difficulty now is considered normal, we are entering a new possibility that considers distance is not a problem. Soon we can have a small group member from all over the world.

That looks like amazing progress isn’t it? yes. if you already have a platform. A small group platform so that new leaders can be discipled and appointed. a platform where the young and the older generation can be secure to lead and follow one another, a place where the rookie can learn from the veteran and the other way around without being awkward. I am going to be straight to you all, this pandemic will not end any time soon and even though it ended, the world will never be the same again. Don’t get me wrong, I really want everything back to the way it used to be. I want to be able to go out freely and hang out with church member again. Let’s be open-minded and accept the truth that we all going to be moving from one conference app to another, from one online meeting to another. Gathering a large group of people will be the last thing to do in a time like this, things will get better, yes gradually so large crowed on Sunday service will not be our priority right now. So what we need to do right now? We prepare the platform for an online small group. Prepare for leaders training, mentoring, connecting every single day. Connect with people as many as we can through the internet. This is what we can do today. We give chances to our leaders so that they also can lead. trust is the most valuable thing in every ministry. we can only empower the one we trust.

Trust is, unfortunately, a scarce resource in most organizations. well, on the other hand, I have a strong belief that in most churches trust is plentiful. Sarcastic or not, the problem is now we have an opportunity to reach souls, and to wait until everything becomes normal again is not an option. there are no such things as perfect leaders, and there’re no such things as perfect mentors too. Let’s go back to the basic, Jesus told Peter to come and follow Him. If we can model if we can be an example I certainly think we can spot some of the potential leaders amidst our church members and start grooming them today. Relationship precedes ministry if we connect to most of our church members, grooming leaders is not a hard task. Start today, fish today, the end is near(er), and the harvest is plentiful. Start small (group) now!
