Big Ship really CAN.

Once, a leader whom I respect so much said this: “as the church grows, the crowded it gets, the harder to go fast. the church is like a ship, the bigger the ship, the harder it is to move” I was staggered. This conversation happened in the middle of a talk about new ideas for the church. Speechless and it got me sunken to the deepest sea of disappointment.

In the world we’re living now, the biggest passenger ship does go fast and not just fast, it also can maneuver close to decimeter precision.

The bigger the ship, the control panel is still small. The bigger the ship, the command still coming from one captain. the problem will start when there’s no command from the captain, but many control operators giving different orders.

Big or small is not really a factor for the speed. Big ships or small boats can go fast depend on the captain’s command. So big ship does go fast regardless of the purposes and model.

If the church is like a ship, as long as the captain is Jesus, and all the control operators hear the command from the captain. it does not just go fast, it will go fast in the middle of the storm.
